Expectation
Expectation, also known as “Taos” , won “Preliminary Horse of the Year” both in 1986 & 1988 for Area IX United States Combined Training Association as well as Mountain States Combined Training Association. He also won the Mountain States Three-Day Event CCI* at Beebe Draw in La Salle, Colorado in 1986. Having some confidence problems on Cross-Country at the Intermediate Level in 1987 after placing 3rd in the dressage at the Continental Young Riders Championships at Flying horse Farm in Hamilton, Massachusetts, “Taos” was down graded to Preliminary Level for another year. In 1989 “Taos” was moved back up to Intermediate successfully and was ridden at the Advanced Level by Olympian Piotr Piesecki of Poland at the Circle K International at Trojan Horse Farm in 1989 placing 11th. He was later sold to Sarah Broussard, a Young Rider in Kalispell, Montana and is still owned by her today. He is used as a “Schoolmaster” and can be seen in Intercollegiate Horse Shows at Colorado State University.
